Video’s up! Here’s the real-time recording of me creating sketch #1000 for those who are interested in seeing how I work. I’ll still be doing a time-lapse compilation for September, too. That’ll be out by the end of next week :)
Thanks so much for following and supporting this blog, folks. It really means a lot to me that my daily “practice” sketches have ended up reaching so many people. And of course, I’m not planning on stopping any time soon (ever?), so look forward to much much more! Who knows what this project will look like 1000 more days into the future…
If you guys weren’t aware, I host all these sketches on my own site, sketch.graemeborland.com. The posts there tell you how long each sketch took, and sometimes they also have little notes attached to them. It’s a cool way to browse all the way back to Day 1 and see how my style has changed over time. When you’re viewing a sketch you can even click the ? button below the image to view a random day. I find it pretty fun to mess around with, now that there is such a huge number of sketches up. If you’re into that kind of thing, be sure to check it out!
Anyway, thanks again for all your support, I’m excited to continue with sketch of the day and see what ends up happening in years to come :)
Hey everyone! I’ve made it through 1000 days of sketching! To mark the occasion I did my 1000th sketch at a higher resolution than normal, and put it up as a print. I also recorded a video of myself doing this sketch (in real time, it’s about 45 minutes long) - and that’s being uploaded to youtube right now. I’ll post the video when it’s done with processing!
